A Note from our MD, Gordon Forster

Today has been one of the worst days of my life. Our companies, Safari MK and Safari Adventure Play, that we founded and built up with my family and team (with many staff being with us since the beginning) have been forced to close. Following the advice of the PM to avoid social places and now to close schools, we are devastated that we have no choice but to close temporarily from 6pm on Wednesday 18th March.

To all party parents, we will be contacting you to try and rearrange. We are really sorry but this is totally out of our control. The party team will start calling you in the morning, starting with the parents who have parties in the next 7 days. Please bear with us as I know you all want answers quickly.

We will be in touch with all our play pass holders but in summary, annual pass holders, we will add in the number of days to your pass that we are closed for.

Direct debit pass holders, we will suspend your payments so you do not need to cancel.

I want to add that this is not just a business but a way of life for our family and so many of our team. We have lived Safari every single day since we opened our Milton Keynes site nearly 6 years ago and then opening up Peterborough last year. We are so truly heartbroken that this decision has been taken out of our control. Our team are in a state of shock and there have been a lot of tears today.

To say we are not scared would be a lie. But all we can do is look forward and approach each day with the aim of helping as many people around us as we can. We will prevail and we will come out of this stronger.

Take care of yourselves and we look forward to seeing you all back at our Safaris with Chief Monkey Charlie and Lenny the Lion, very soon.

Gordon and all the Safari Team
