A Cooler Way to Play
Across our centres, we use a full heating and evaporative cooling system, which continuously circulates fresh, filtered air throughout the building.
Unlike traditional air conditioning, evaporative cooling is a far more environmentally friendly way of cooling large open spaces. It uses significantly less energy while providing a naturally cooler, fresher environment, making it the ideal solution for the UK's BEST Large Indoor Play Venue 2026!
Because Safari features large open play areas and high ceilings, evaporative cooling is particularly well suited to our buildings. On warmer days, the system can reduce the indoor temperature by up to 8°C compared with outside, helping families enjoy hours of climbing, sliding and exploring in comfort.
Rather than simply recirculating the same air, the system continuously introduces fresh, filtered air throughout the centre, creating a pleasant environment where children can play and families can relax.
Designed with Families (and the Environment) in Mind
When we invested in our cooling system, we wanted something that worked brilliantly for families while also being kinder to the environment.
Evaporative cooling offers a number of advantages for large indoor spaces like Safari, including:

Because party rooms have standard ceiling heights, individual climate control keeps every celebration comfortable all year roundw, hether you're joining us during a summer heatwave or a chilly winter afternoon.
That means children can enjoy every moment of their special day while parents and guests stay cool, comfortable and ready to celebrate.
Everything You Need for the Perfect Summer Day Out
Keeping cool is just one part of a great day at Safari.
Children can spend hours exploring our giant multi-level playframes, discovering imaginative adventures in our Role Play Village, and challenging family members on our interactive gaming experiences, all while staying active and having fun.
When it's time to refuel, our in-house chefs prepare a delicious range of freshly made meals, snacks and treats, while grown-ups can enjoy barista-made coffees or refreshing iced drinks.
And, of course, no summer visit would be complete without one of our delicious Marshfield Farm ice creams, with plenty of flavours waiting to help everyone cool down after a busy day of adventure.
