The Government Summer Saving Scheme (affordable family play all summer!)

At Safari, we've always believed that play is one of the most important investments we can make in our children.

Play helps children build confidence, develop social skills, stay active, use their imagination, and create memories that last a lifetime.

That's why we're pleased to support the Government's Summer Savings Scheme this year by passing on the full VAT reduction to families visiting Safari.

At Safari, we've always believed that play is one of the most important investments we can make in our children!

Play helps children build confidence, develop social skills, stay active, use their imagination, and create memories that last a lifetime.

That's why we're pleased to support the Government's Summer Savings Scheme this year by passing on the full VAT reduction to families visiting Safari.

What Does the VAT Reduction Mean?

From 26th June to 1st September, VAT on eligible children's indoor play admissions and children's meals is reducing from 20% to 5%.

While the VAT reduction is 15%, this equates to a 12.5% reduction in the final price paid by families.

In simple terms, that means:

🎟️ Children's entry tickets will be 12.5% cheaper

🍽️ Children's meals will be 12.5% cheaper

The saving is applied automatically, so families don't need a discount code or special voucher.

Just book and enjoy the reduced price.

Why This Matters

Family days out are incredibly important.

They provide opportunities for children to stay active, spend time with friends, challenge themselves, and enjoy experiences away from screens.

They also create precious moments for families to spend quality time together.

As parents ourselves, we know that the cost of entertaining children during school holidays can quickly add up. That's why initiatives designed to help families access more affordable leisure activities are always welcome.

The summer holidays should be about making memories, not worrying about the cost of every outing.

Supporting Families Through Play

Safari's owner, Gordon, sits on the committee of the Association of Indoor Play (AIP), the organisation that represents indoor play venues across the UK.

The Association has been encouraging venues to pass the full VAT saving on to families wherever possible, helping ensure the Government's support reaches the people it was designed to help.

Because play isn't a luxury.

It's an essential part of childhood.

The benefits of active play are well documented. Play helps children develop physically, socially, emotionally and creatively. It supports learning, confidence-building, problem-solving and communication skills.

In many ways, play is as important to healthy childhood development as education, sport and social interaction.

That's why initiatives that help families access play opportunities are so important.

More Value This Summer

This summer, families visiting Safari can enjoy all the usual adventures while benefiting from the Government-backed reduction.

From giant playframes and toddler areas to our Role Play Village, interactive gaming experiences and freshly prepared meals, there's plenty to enjoy under one roof.

And now, thanks to the Summer Savings Scheme, it's even better value.

We hope the reduction helps more families enjoy more adventures, more family time and more opportunities to make memories together this summer.

Because childhood is short.

And every child deserves the chance to play!

So book your tickets today and join us this summer for a day of FUN!

Our owner, Gordon, sits on the Association of Indoor Play Committee and our trade assocation is recommending all indoor play venues pass this saving on. We don’t believe play should be taxed at all and we are campaigning for VAT to go to 0% for all play venues permenantly. For this summer though both your meals and entry will have the Government issued VAT reduction.
